The evo Caterham Eurocup

Entering its 8th year in 2008, the Caterham Eurocup represents the pinnacle of Caterham racing worldwide, combining all the fun and competition of the national series with the challenge and glamour of Europe’s top circuits.

The 2008 Eurocup is open to Roadsports and Superlights, but is headlined by the awesome CSR 260. A further invitation class enables other racing Caterhams to take advantage of the fantastic circuits that Eurocup visits - a total of 12 races at four meetings. Venues include the Formula 1 circuits of Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium and Magny-Cours in France, as well as Donington Park UK and Valencia in Spain.

The Eurocup format of 2008 consists of three 40 minute races, giving competitors an incredible 160 minutes of racing, plus qualifying! The third race of the weekend has a mandatory pit-stop for the Superlight and CSR cars. This enables these cars to be shared be two drivers over the meeting; one race each, then sharing the car for the third race, thereby reducing the costs of racing at the highest level in Caterhams.

The Eurocup boasts three distinctly separate championships
for one- and two-driver teams:

The CSR Masters , which will be open to CSR 260s contesting all 21 races; The Eurocup Sprint title, for Superlights and other Caterhams opting only to contest the two shorter races at each meeting; The Eurocup Endurance title for Superlights and other cars equipped with long-range fuel tanks.

Following its long and successful association with the Academy, Caterham Motorsport welcomes evo magazine as headline sponsor for the Eurocup.
